US Weather Insurance covers policies for rain, snow and temperature all over the country for events like outdoor fairs, concerts, and sporting events. Although rain insurance is definitely the most popular product that US Weather Insurance covers, recently temperature coverage has become very popular with our clients. In this blog we will cover the different ways to purchase temperature insurance for your event.

The first way that temperature is covered with US Weather Insurance is if your event is at risk of cancellation or loss of revenue due to the threat of extreme temperature. One example of this type of coverage would involve a fair taking out a policy with US Weather Insurance incase the temperature on the days of their fair exceeded 100 degrees. This type of coverage is important because just like other inclement weather factors like rain or snow, this extreme temperature will stop people from coming out to the fair and overall affecting the potential revenue.

The second way temperature is used is in a sales promotion. A sales promotion is a great way for retailers to drive in traffic to their location by offering an incentive to their clients. One example of this is if a furniture store runs a promotion advertising that any purchase made during the months of April and May will be refunded if the temperature hits 100 degrees on July 4th. This will increase revenue during the sales period and if the store has to payout, US Weather Insurance will cut the check.
