All About Temperature Coverage!

It is the hottest part of the summer on the east coast and outdoor events are struggling with extreme heat effecting their turnout. Temperature coverage is easy to quote through US Weather Insurance and it is very affordable to purchase a policy.  There are two ways to purchase temperature coverage with US Weather Insurance.

  1. Special Event Temperature Coverage- This would be insuring a single day or multi-day event such as a fair, concert, of a wedding. These events can be insured against extreme heat or cold depending on the time of year. For example, a radio station is holding an all day concert event. The event is completely outdoors and dependent on people purchasing admission tickets, food, drinks, and parking. If the temperature that day is 110 degrees, it will negative effect the attendance of the event and therefore the event will lose any expected profits.
  2. Sales Promotion- We recently featured the Beat the Heat promotion for July 4th however the promotion can be done at any time during the summer. A sales promotion is ideal for retail locations who are looking to increase sales in the summertime. Here’s how it works, the store would run a sale, typically two weeks to a month long. During that time the store can advertise the chance to win back their customers purchases, this is sure to drive foot traffic into the location. The store would also choose a recording date, usually something that people remember like Labor Day and if the temperature matches or beats the record high, all of the stores customers will be reimbursed for their purchases.
