Beat the cold temperature and snow with some of these fun indoor activities.

There is no denying that this winter has been brutal! The first day of Spring is right around the corner and there is still a half a foot of snow on the ground. Most of us on the east coast are experiencing cabin fever, being lock inside on the weekends dreaming of sunshine and warm weather activities. US Weather Insurance has put together some great options that make being stuck indoors more bearable by adding a fun activity.

Once the sun in shining and the temperatures rise, the streets and trails will load with runners, walkers, and bikers enjoying an outdoor workout. Since most of our trails aren’t paved and the streets still snowy we are forced to take this activity indoors. Joining a gym is a great way to get a workout in without worrying about the weather however to make it a little more fun, join a workout group. Many studios around the area will allow you to pay per class for a variety of workout options like boot camps or spinning classes. One of our favorite outdoor activities at US Weather Insurance is hitting the links. A round of golf however is extremely hard when the golf course is covered in snow! Facilities like TopGolf or Play A Round allow a small group to come in and play a round of golf on a golf simulator. They add to the experience by making it byob, adding large sitting areas, and playing music.  This is a great way to get together with friends and still be active!

The temperatures are bound to warm up soon and when they do you can bet that we will be taking full advantage of them.  For now to beat the snow and cold try one of these recommended activities and let us know what you think or if you have some great ideas let us know!
