How Far in Advance Should I Book My Coverage?

images Here at US Weather Insurance, we work on a close deadline for each individual event. Unlike our sister company, US Hole In One, who insures hole in one and putting policies for golf tournaments, the weather can be predicted! Because of this we must have our clients purchase their policies 7-10 days in advance. It is best to get a quote as early as possible for your event, all we need to get a quote on a weather policy is the date of the event, the location, the time frame the coverage is needed, and the total amount you want to insure. From there we will be able to send a quote with different rates to give you options on the amount of weather you want to insure against. The quote provides will be accurate for 30-90 days; after that it is recommended that you get the event re-quoted just to make sure the rates haven’t changed significantly. After you have received the quote US Weather Insurance recommends that you bind the coverage 2 weeks before the event date. This gives enough room to ensure that the application has been received, submitted and payment has been received. As stated earlier we do allow clients to bind 10 days before the event however with the last minute updates, this can tend to be stressful with last minute paperwork! When in doubt, contact one of our weather consultants and find out the best time to submit your contract, you can reach US Weather Insurance at #888-982-5488.
