Outdoor events need different types of coverage depending on the location and date of the event. US Weather Insurance offers options on the type of weather you can insure based on your events specific needs. The types of revenue protection coverage we cover are rain, snow, temperature, and severe adverse weather.

  • Rain- Rain is the most popular of the four types of coverage. Since the threat of rain is present in all four season, all outdoor events can be affected by continuous rainfall. Rain coverage is usually covered for anywhere between ΒΌ of an inch to 1 inch depending on the hours of coverage.
  • Snow- Snow coverage is mostly insured for indoor events where a heavy snowfall will decrease the attendance of the event and event cancel it. Snowfall coverage will vary in the number of inches insured based on the location of the promotion. Snow is also used a lot in sales promotions for retail business locations where they center a sale around the snowfall on Christmas Day.
  • Temperature- Extreme temperature can also affect almost any outdoor affair! Whether it is too hot or too cold, both will affect the attendance of the event in a negative way. Temperature insurance is also used in sales promotions; retailers will insure an extremely high temperature on July 4th and incorporate it into their summer sale.
