Summer Sales Promotions: It’s Getting Hot in Here!

During the summer, there’s lot sunshine, sweating, swimming — and sales! You may not be able to help the sometimes excessive heat of summer, but you can definitely benefit your business from it. Using temperature insurance, you can create sales promotions based on the seasonal climate to bring more customers and revenue to your store! If you’re having trouble thinking of how temperature can help you design a sales promotion, we’ve included some suggested promotions below.

Everyone always checks to see how hot the temperature will be during the summer. Take advantage of this opportunity with a sales promotion related to maximum temperature. For instance, you could select a specific day during the summer, such as Independence Day or Labor Day. If the temperature reaches 100 degrees in the local area on your predetermined sales day, reimburse customers for purchases made during a designated period leading up to that date.

There’s both a predicted high and low temperature for each day, so why not craft a sales promotion based off minimum temperature? Let’s say you select a day over the summer where cool conditions are anticipated and the temperature is expected to reach a high of 85 and a low of 65. If the temperature does not reach the predicted low of 65 degrees, your customers may be reimbursed or receive a discount for purchases made during a sales period leading up to your chosen promotion day.

These kinds of promotions are easy to run and a great way to attract customers to grow your business in a reliable, convenient, and fun way. Summer is here, so beat the heat and earn ultimate prizes!
