The Art Van Furniture store has been an example of a business that truly puts their customers first. For years, they have held a Super Bowl Weather Sales Promotion. The stipulations are simple. Art Van Furniture is offered full refunds for purchases of $999 or more, made between a set range of dates if it snowed at least three inches on Super Bowl Sunday. Even after taking a huge loss in 2015 when having to make a two million dollar payout, when 16.2 inches of snow fell on game day, they are back at it again!

This year, they held the same promotion. They offered full refunds for purchases of $999 or more, made between January 5th and 8th if it snows at least three inches on Super Bowl Sunday. The promotion was based on snow measurements at O’Hare between 12:01 a.m and 11:59 p.m. And fortunately for Art Van Furniture, there was no snow!

This promotion is fun for both the business throwing it and the customers. However, this can be risky as they have witnessed in 2015. Making sure you have the proper insurance coverage in the case of having a huge payout is necessary. You don’t want your business to go in debt over a promotion that was mean’t to make you profits.
